Coming soon: Ivan-I & Jason Howell "Funky Moves"
Tarantic veterans Ivan-I & Jason Howell return with a brand new outing of dub-house freshness! Titled “Funky Moves,” Ivan and Jason’s signature deep, warm, and dubby sound is in full effect on the original track. Ivan and Jason team up with Adnan Sharif (a.k.a DJ Adnan) to rework the track, adding some bright synth hooks and effects while maintaining the deep vibe of the original. Also on remix duty, JasWho? lays down the funk with a live bass groove and horn riffs, and Amit Shoham adds a techy touch, using electro-inspired gritty bass tones and keys to keep the energy high and the crowd moving.
Digital Downloads now available: Luke Mandala "Turbocharged"
In March 2008 Luke Mandala mades his Tarantic Records debut with the explosive tech monster “Turbocharged.” Bass-driven, dynamic, with plenty of psychedelic pops, bleeps and fizzes, this is a peak-time track if we ever heard one!
Three remixes complement the original perfectly: Jan van Lier—whose productions have been generating quite a buzz lately for labels such as Looq and Definitive—provides a tech-house chugger of a remix that is dark, moody and forceful. Max Julien of DeepSound Recordings adds his progressive sound to the release, introducing an oriental-sounding melodic hook and making wise use of Luke Mandala’s percussive and psychedelic elements. Tarantic head-honcho Amit Shoham brings in warm bass and synth tones, reinterpreting the track to appeal to fans of Tarantic’s deeper outings.
This release has been getting support from John Acquaviva, Murray Richardson, Tyler Stadius, LCRN, Cody Lee, Tony Thomas, and many more DJs around the world.
